Sweetheart Dress in Black/Leo - Uhm, with a dress title like that I don't even have to look.
LOOK AT THIS DRESS AND LOOK AT HOW IT IS 30$ OFF. I'D LIKE 7 IN 1X PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
Em Bear Ass Mint.
Today a friend asked for a link to my new blog, and I immediately panicked. "They aren't my intended audience, they'll judge me for my terrible writing and uninteresting, scattered topics!" Granted, they are totally groovy and well-spoken so it's extra nauseating when thinking of sharing this with them.
Who is my intended audience? Well, I guess me. I think when I am writing, I imagine lots of people reading (not that that's the case!), who are just like me. Somewhat shy, embarassed, maybe plus-size young people. Why am I even writing this? It's both exciting and relaxing. It feels good to force myself to think about something that happened in a day, or people I met, or something I've seen. So why should I have to apologize? Isn't this whole new years revolution about not giving a fuck, just feeling good and being a honeybadger supposed to be about me? It is!
This is all good in theory, but I'm still not actively telling anyone about this blog.

Wrong Century
I love this comic of a young woman considering The Rape of the Daughters of Leucippus(c.1618) by Tomas Kucerovsky. How many times have I felt this?

Jessica Louise Plus Size Meow Meow Hoodie Lust + Just Buy this Sweet Game.
This weekend I bought Style Savvy: Trendsetters. Both guys at EB Games laughed at me, but I know who I am. I had just finished playing Dishonored and I'm going to be playing so many serious titles coming out soon, I wanted some silly fun for my 3DS.
I know this isn't supposed to be a game blog, but I don't have enough people looking at this, telling me to stay on track. Plus, there's just no way video games won't creep their way into this. There just isn't. EDIT: I decided that this blog can be about whatever the hell I want. Enjoy.
Anyways, this shit is awesome. You run your own boutique and have customers (both men and women) come in with specific styles and budgets and you help them find outfits they love. You can also dress up your own character, change your hair and makeup to fit your personal style. Get popular enough, and your style will influence the city.
It has oodles of cute clothes, and it's got me so envious that many of these styles in real life are designed for small, plank style women. I wanted to find some of the cute styles in plus size ranges.
Look at this.
Okay, I might be a little biased because the most gorgeous woman ever, Tess Munster is modeling it, but look at those ears! The lace! The buttons. And at 85.00, you're not paying over what you would for any other high quality hoodie, and for plus size, which tends to run expensive, this is awesome.
Next non-rent paycheque baby. You're mine.

Septum Piercing Thoughts + Review of Prince George Piercing Shop
Just a quick post. Practice makes perfect!
Although I already have an eyebrow and beauty-mark piercing, I have been lusting after the septum piercing for a while. The last piercing I got was a little ill-researched, and I ended up in the emergency room, but that's another story.
This Friday, before I bought the material for my Bina DIY, I stopped in to Ink Fetish tattoo & piercing to get a piece of metal shoved through my septum. I had e-mailed earlier, and they welcomed walk-ins, so I figured that evening was as good a time as any.
Just a quick review of the place: large, pretty clean, people walking all over the place. The piercer was short with me and running around crazed which totally didn't make me feel welcome or at ease about getting a piercing in a new place, especially after getting hurt so badly at the last piercing salon. She squeezed me in just before a tattoo, which was kind of nice but a little alarming that I was just a side thought. However, she took my money and I was in the chair before I could get too nauseous.
She sat me down, was super friendly and gave a 10/10 piercing. Unfortunately the door to the room was open and a girl who was waiting to get a tattoo stood in the door and watched. Didn't bother me, but if I were one to bitch, I would have asked for privacy. Seeing as I had a woman with her fingers shoved up my nostrils, I didn't care at that point.
I would recommend Ink Fetish, but only by appointment and only to those who aren't too nervous or shy. If it's your first time, or you're not sure about your piercing, go to Pacific Body Piercing. I got the consultation there for my septum, and I have had lots of friends pierced there. The couple who owns it are friendly, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. I would have gotten pierced there if not for my gift certificate.
The pain: It was quick, and hurt. It felt like million nose hairs being plucked from the same spot with a pair of flaming tweezers. No pain after, and no swelling. It doesn't even feel like it was recently pierced. Less painful than lip, more than eyebrow. Even less sore afterwards than when I got my EARS pierced.
I wish she hadn't taken my money first so I could have given her a tip, but I didn't think of that until the morning after.
This is a random video I pulled to see what it looked like.
I have to say, I am absolutely in love and it makes my chubby face just that much cuter.
Excuse the crazy out of shower hair + no make up. I tried to crop that shit out.

DIY Day - NO SEW Bina Wrap
I am a terrible sewer. I once tried to sew the thigh of a ripped pair of jeans (you know the rip I am talking about. The one that is directly a result of having big ol' thighs that rub together) and ended up sewing both legs completely together. When I saw this DIY tutorial on Pinterest, I was totally in love, and even better, I figured I could do it sans sewing.
I definitely haven't gotten batteries for my shitty camera yet, so I used my phone again. Apologies again.
I'm not sure how good of a DIY tutorial I can do, but with your patience, I hope to share some insights to the process.
I began with this tutorial. Amazing, but I wasn't sure why I was supposed to sew it. Maybe it was to make it lay correctly, or they couldn't find a piece of jersey wide enough. All I know, is it was extra work and I sure as hell wasn't going to attempt to make more cuts of my fabric than I needed to. If things get confusing, maybe check there.
I began with 3 meters of burn-out jersey knit fabric. I would NOT recommend the burnout. Go for a plain knit because I found the burn-out portion of the fabric was way too thin and I just know it is going to shred the first time I wear it out. It was 7$/m on sale for me. You can probably find it cheaper where you live, or online.
The good thing about jersey is that you don't really have to worry about it fraying when you don't sew the cut ends. It just kind of curls after you stretch it a little. I like that.
Here I am, in all my shitty DIY glory. Here's a PDF of all the awesome things you can do with this piece of mighty material. I'll take a picture outside when it's brighter outside. (I live in the north. The winter provides us with very little sunlight.)

I had to go over to my Mum's to use her table. Look how cute she is knitting me a cowl in the corner. She's the bomb-diggity. I love her so much.
To measure how long your fabric will need to be, just take the rough width of you body and times it by 5. Width is up to you, I kept mine super long. Most of the commercial Binas seem to be from the tots to the knees.
After all my cutting was done, I folded the fabric hot-dog style so I didn't have to cut as much for the sleeves. To measure where to cut, I used my own body as a guideline again. The whole fabric is 5 x me long (Tim Gund would kill me) and the middle between the sleeve-holes should be 3 me's wide. On either side of the sleeve will be one me.
I cut in like a foot, or 30 cm.
The good thing about jersey is that you don't really have to worry about it fraying when you don't sew the cut ends. It just kind of curls after you stretch it a little. I like that.
I added no sew snaps. If I were to do it again, I would just tie where I wanted to join the ends. The snaps jut weigh it down. You'll need 4 snaps, two of each "gender". If you want to use snaps, get the no sew variety and refer to my diagram for where to put them.
